What to Watch | Our Picks for Top TV Shows to Catch this Spring
If you caught our WTW for 2019 Movies, you already know that we are all about the binge-watching recommendations this year. So, it seemed only fair that we followed up with a TV show version too.
True Detective
Where to Watch: HBO | January
What it is: The third season in the anthology drama is an impressive improvement from the disappointment that was season two. It stars Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff with an overall feel more in line with the highly rated journey of the first season. Following a case involving two missing children in 1980's Arkansas, Ali's Detective Wayne Hayes relives the case that stuck with him through a series of flashbacks up until the show's modern day in 2015.
Twilight Zone
Where to Watch: CBS | April
What it is: A reboot of the spooky sci-fi series starring the mind behind Get Out, Jordan Peele. Like the show itself, any teaser is nothing but elusive and is emphasizing that it will be just one of those things you need to check out for yourself.
Our Planet
Where to Watch: Netflix | April
What it is: Netflix has vetted the creator of Planet Earth for an encore in Our Planet. If you're looking for a fascinating series to help you feel incredibly humbled OR the ultimate soothing pre-bedtime visual, Our Planet is the way to go.
Game of Thrones
Where to Watch: HBO | April
What it is: If you don't know about this cultural phenomenon at this point, all hope is not lost. Though GoT is basically a seven season series of movies, the show is worth the commitment. The second week of April will kickoff the final series that we all have been dreading waiting for.
